You can set up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on the Security page > 2FA Settings.
Click “Enable” on your preferred option. You can use either Google Authenticator/Authy/any other authenticator or SMS Authentication.
Open your 2FA application and either use the phone camera to scan the QR code or enter the code manually.
Please wait for a new code to be generated and insert it in the “Enter the Two-Step Authentication code” section and click on the “Verify Code“.
Your 2FA Authentication security feature is activated.
If you prefer to set the 2FA Authentication using SMS code, please click on the “Alternative Authentication Methods“:
In the window which opens after you click on the “Enable” button, please choose the country, provide your phone number and click on the “Verify” button.
Enter the code from the SMS you will receive and click “Verify”:
The speed of SMS verification varies from country to country. For instant codes and additional security, please use an app like Google Authenticator or Authy for the 2FA codes.
Please be informed that completion of the Personal Info section of your account verification automatically activates your 2FA using SMS as an authentication method. Should you wish to, you can later change this from “My Profile” > “Security” > “Two-factor authentication”. For detailed steps on how to do this, check this article.

Hello,
this is a little bit illogical.. I want to change my password but to change my password I need 2FA, and to set 2FA I need to login but I cannot login because I do not remember my old password, and I cannot change my password.. you get the point.. I mean.. how? How then?
Regards,
Simonas

Hi Nexo Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well.
My name is Marlone Diana, and I’m requesting assistance to reset my Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for my Nexo account associated with this email: [email protected].
Recently, I lost access to my Authenticator app and am unable to log in due to the missing 2FA verification codes. I’ve tried troubleshooting on my end, including syncing the time and attempting to use backup codes, but unfortunately, nothing worked.
I understand that resetting 2FA requires identity verification, and I’m ready to provide:
– A clear photo of my government-issued ID.
– A selfie while holding my ID.
– A handwritten note stating: “Requesting 2FA reset for Nexo” along with today’s date.
Please let me know if any other documents or information are required. I really appreciate your support in helping me regain access securely.
Looking forward to your response.
Best regards,
Marlone Diana
